Dr Musah Adams is a professional archivist and lecturer. He holds a PhD in Archival Studies from the University of Ghana, Legon. He is currently a senior lecturer at the Department of Information Studies in the University of Ghana. He has so far taught in the Department for the past twenty years. Courses taught by Dr Adams include Records Management, Archives Administration, Administrative History and Public Relations at the Diploma, Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. Before joining the University of Ghana as a lecturer in 2002, Dr. Adams worked with the liquidated Bank for Housing and Construction as a records manager. In addition to his teaching work, Dr. Adams has served as a consultant to many public and private organisations in Ghana. He has also served on several boards and committees both in the University of Ghana and outside the university. Notable among these are:

Together with other consultants, Dr. Adams has undertaken projects in institutions both public and private in Ghana and The Gambia. In Ghana he has served as a facilitator, teaching records and archives management at training programmes for staff in institutions such as:

Dr. Adams is the immediate past president of the Archivists and Records Managers Association of Ghana (ARMAG). ARMAG is the only recognized national professional association in Ghana. He is also a member of the Rotary Club of Accra-Tesano.
